You Do Not Need a Laptop: Learning AI on Your Phone
Most of our students learn AI on a phone. How to set your phone up, save data, and do real work with AI from the palm of your hand.
Most students in our classes learn on a phone, and that is completely fine. Everything you need to start with AI works on a phone.
Set up your phone in 10 minutes
- Install one AI chatbot app: ChatGPT, Google Gemini or Microsoft Copilot (all have free plans).
- Install Microsoft Teams for the live Sunday class.
- Save the class link: class.tanimawoai.com.
- Join our Telegram channel for reminders.
Talk instead of typing
Most AI apps let you speak your question. Tap the microphone and ask in your own words. You can also ask the AI to reply in Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, French or Pidgin.
Save data
- Use Wi-Fi for watching replays when you can.
- Turn on your phone's data saver.
- Text chat with AI uses very little data. Image and video tools use more.
Real things to do on your phone
- Turn a voice note into text with the Academy's free voice note to text tool.
- Make a passport photo from a selfie.
- Shrink a photo for an online form with resize and compress.
- Write your CV and save it as a PDF.
Keep it safe
Lock your phone, never share OTP codes, and read Stay Safe With AI.
