Stay Safe With AI: Scams, Voice Clones and What Never to Share

AI makes scams more convincing. The warning signs, the details you must never type into any AI tool, and what to do if something feels wrong.

AI is a great helper, but scammers use it too. They can write perfect messages, copy someone's voice from a short recording and make fake photos and videos. A few simple habits keep you safe.

Never type these into any AI tool

  • Passwords and PINs
  • OTP and login codes
  • Your BVN, NIN or bank card details
  • Other people's private information (health, money, addresses)

You never need these to get a good answer from AI.

Warning signs of an AI-powered scam

  • Urgency. "Send money now", "your account will close today".
  • A familiar voice asking for money. AI can copy a voice. If "your brother" calls from a new number asking for an urgent transfer, hang up and call him on the number you know.
  • Too-good-to-be-true offers. "Double your money with crypto", "earn $500 a day from home", "an expert will trade for you".
  • Moving you to private chat. "Contact Mrs X on Telegram for your payout."

Our promise in the Academy

Dr. Daniel and the Academy admins will never message you first to ask for money, passwords, codes or an "investment". The class and the community groups are free, and nobody can charge you to join. Our Telegram group removes scam messages automatically and mutes people who post them.

Check before you trust

  • Look up surprising "news" on a trusted website before sharing it.
  • Ask: who benefits if I believe this?
  • Fake photos often have odd hands, text or backgrounds.

If something feels wrong

Stop, do not send money or codes, and ask someone you trust. Report scams in our community to tanimawoaiacademy@gmail.com.
