Taking the "Made with TaniX" Badge Off Your Website
What the badge is, why it is there, and how to take it off a website you want to look fully your own.
Every website published from the Code Lab carries a small gold badge in the bottom corner that says Made with TaniX. This explains what it is and what to do if you would rather it was not there.
Why it exists
The Code Lab is free. There is no monthly fee, no limit on how many websites you publish, and the Academy takes nothing from what you sell. The badge is how people find out where your website came from — it is the only thing the Academy asks for in return.
Plenty of students leave it on. It tells visitors the site was built by a real person learning a real skill, and other students find the Academy through it.
When to take it off
Take it off when the website is doing business and the badge is the only thing on the page that is not yours — a shop, a client's site, a company page.
It costs a one-time fee per website. Not a subscription. You pay once for that website and it is gone.
How
Open Remove Watermark, find your website by name or by pasting its address, and pay. The badge comes off straight away.
Only the website you pay for changes. The rest of yours keep theirs.
One thing not to do
Do not try to delete the badge from your code. It is put there by the server when the page is served, not written into your files, so it comes back — and an account that tries gets locked until you message Dr. Daniel for an unlock code.
If you want it gone, the page above is the way, and it is deliberately cheap.
